The pile is made from a non-shed polypropylene fibre, so you get that thick, plush look without fibres ending up all over the floor. It's also water repellent, anti-static, and mould resistant, which makes a cream rug a lot more practical day to day than you'd expect from the colour alone. Easy to clean and made in Turkey to a solid standard.

Sizes run from 230x160cm up to a large 330x240cm, so there's an option whether you need something for a smaller room or a rug that fills out a bigger living space.

How do I pick the right size between 230x160cm, 290x200cm, and 330x240cm?
A good rule of thumb is leaving a gap of about 20 to 30cm between the rug edge and the wall, so it doesn't feel cramped. For a queen or king bed, the 290x200cm or 330x240cm size usually gives enough room for the rug to sit under the bed and extend out on either side.

Do I need an underlay or just an anti-slip pad for this rug?
An anti-slip pad like the Supa Rug Grip is the main thing you need, since it stops the rug from shifting around on hard flooring. A full underlay isn't essential for this one, but it can add a bit of extra cushioning underfoot if you want it.

Can I place this rug in a high-moisture area like a bathroom or laundry?
It's better suited to living spaces like bedrooms and lounges rather than bathrooms or laundries. Even with the water repellent finish, a thick shag pile isn't designed for constant damp conditions and won't dry out the same way a bathroom mat would.

Does the pile flatten quickly in areas with heavy foot traffic?
With a 45mm pile, some flattening is normal over time in high-traffic spots, the same as any thick shag rug. A quick fluff with your hand or a soft brush, along with rotating it every few months, keeps it looking fuller for longer.

Will the cream colour yellow or discolour over time?
With normal use and care, it shouldn't discolour under typical conditions. Keeping it out of prolonged direct sunlight and dealing with spills quickly are the main things that will help it keep its original cream tone for longer.

Cleaning Advice

Vacuuming

• Canister vacuums without beater bars are the optimal type of vacuum to use on rugs.
• Brooms and manual sweepers are also a gentle and effective way to clean rugs.
• If you must use an upright vacuum, use the handheld attachment whenever possible.
• Refrain from running the vacuum over the edges of the rug. Instead, use the handheld attachment or carefully place the vacuum on the rug.
• If a rug is reversible, remember to vacuum both sides.
• For hand-woven rugs, use extra caution when vacuuming, as the suction can pull the weave. Alternatively, you can take the rug outside and gently shake it out.

Sunlight Protection
While natural light can enhance the colors of your rug, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and degradation of fibers. Use curtains or blinds to block the sun during peak hours, or consider placing your rug in an area with more indirect light.

Rotate
