Living Rooms

For smaller living spaces, consider a rug that sits beneath the coffee table. For larger rooms, many customers prefer placing the front legs of sofas and chairs on the rug to create a more connected layout.

Product Details

This fringed wall hanging brings texture and colour to a blank wall without needing to commit to a full-sized artwork. It's handmade in India using a flatwoven construction, blending wool and viscose for a soft, textured finish with natural sheen running through the fibres.

The multi coloured Scandi design works well as a standalone feature above a bed, sofa, or hallway console, or grouped with other hangings for a fuller gallery-style wall. It suits homes leaning into a Scandinavian or boho look, but the mix of colours also sits comfortably against neutral walls or timber tones.

At 60cm x 90cm, it's a manageable size that doesn't overwhelm a smaller room, but still makes a real visual impact once it's up. The fringed bottom edge adds a bit of movement and softness that a framed print or canvas can't really replicate.

It's part of a wider range of 22 unique wall hangings, so if this colourway doesn't quite match your space, there are other options worth a look. Each one shares the same flatwoven wool and viscose construction, just with a different colour and pattern combination.

Cleaning Advice
To protect the quality of your rug, we strongly recommend using a professional-grade cleaner such as Prefesol or seeking guidance from a rug-care specialist before attempting any cleaning yourself.

Please note that we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or changes to your rug caused by cleaning products or methods chosen by the customer.

Vacuuming

  • Canister vacuums without beater bars are the optimal type of vacuum to use on rugs.
  • Brooms and manual sweepers are also a gentle and effective way to clean rugs.
  • If you must use an upright vacuum, use the handheld attachment whenever possible.
  • Refrain from running the vacuum over the edges of the rug. Instead, use the handheld attachment or carefully place the vacuum on the rug.
  • If a rug is reversible, remember to vacuum both sides.
  • For hand-woven rugs, use extra caution when vacuuming, as the suction can pull the weave. Alternatively, you can take the rug outside and gently shake it out.

Sunlight Protection
While natural light can enhance the colors of your rug, prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause fading and degradation of fibers. Use curtains or blinds to block the sun during peak hours, or consider placing your rug in an area with more indirect light.

By taking these simple steps, you can protect your rugs from UV damage, ensuring they remain vibrant and beautiful for many years.

Rotate
It is highly recommended to rotate your rug 180 degrees every 3–6 months to balance appearance, minimize fading, distribute wear evenly, and protect it from direct sunlight.
